Hi, I am in desperate need of help. I quit my job in April; because, I was being harassed by a co-worker. I had gone to management numerous times but they refused to do anything about it. I applied for unemployment benefits, but I was turned down because I had quit my job. Right now, I'm in the process of trying to appeal, but it's taking forever. I have a roommate who's disabled and only recieves a little over $600 a month in disability. It's enough to pay his part of the rent but not mine. We are facing eviction. He has no family to turn to. His parents are in a nursing home in Dover, Ohio. I have filled out more applications in the last 2 months than most people have in a lifetime. I've only recieved two phone calls. One caller asking me if I had retail experience, and I, honestly, said no. So, that disqualified me. The other caller telling me I lived too far for the job. I am willing to take anything. I need help. I feel like things are overwhelming. I'm afraid for myself and my roommate. I never meant for things to turn out like this. If I had it to do over I would gladly go back and take the harassment.
